The “What’s On In” websites are a rapidly growing e-commerce advertising brand, and we have an exciting opportunity for an UK Advertising Area Sales Manager to join the team based across the UK (Home-Based).
Online advertising is currently worth £169 Million within the UK. More and more businesses are eager to advertise online with online search now dominating how customers now search, with IPads, iPhones, mobile search leads the way.
"What’s On In" are now capitalising on this with its “What’s On In” theme advertising websites.
About the role
Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced UK Advertising Area Sales Manager to generate sales throughout the entire UK. While many of the “What's On In” Websites are operated under franchisees some our owned by the WOI Group.
You will have FULL advertising control over the UK "What's On In" websites with the ability to adjust advertising rates to create sales.
You will be responsible for selling ads on our websites throughout the UK, contacting all businesses and tradespeople in all UK postcode areas, hitting initially a low sales target per allocated postcode.
You will be home-based, on a self-employed basis and we can promise you that this will be away from any corporate structure, of pressure, huge targets, and politics, we are seeking someone who can fit in to a small yet dedicated team.

Here is the rate card for a typical UK "What's On In" website, these rates can be changed to suit market conditions albeit discounting, upselling FROM rate card is much better.
Here is the Trades feature, (business directory) this is a flat cost of £40 per year, it is a self-loading platform, meaning that the link would be sent to a trader (Builder, Double Glazing Company, Electrician, etc, etc, approx 1,000 in each postcode area)

- Flexible approach to obtaining the sales
Remuneration Package
Basic Salary 24K per annum, rising to 30-35K per annum (within 6 months) on shown ability to hit and maintain targets
- 50% commission on ALL sales that you make, also 50% on repeat sales
- OTE £100k per annum can be easily hit
- 4 weeks paid leave per year
- Full training before starting the role
- The sales commission is paid to you weekly
Sales, how they are generated
Sales will come from two main areas, Businesses and Local trades people
- Business Sales from ANY business within a postcode area.
ANY business can advertise on a What's On In websites. Here are some of the USP's of our websites:

- EVERY business will have a FREE sales webpage, this will enable you to approach ANY business regardless how small they may be

- Advertisers can list their Trip Advisor on the their WhatsOnIn Sales web page

Sales Income Potential:
- The average spend of a UK online business advertiser is £166 per month, using the LS postcode area as (an example)
- Total number of Businesses within the LS postcode area 38,102
- Average Monthly spend per advertiser £166 +/-
- It is anticipated that in the first 6 months 1% of Advertisers will advertise from any Postcode area. The Monthly Income Potential would be £63,249 - 50% would be paid to you as commission.

- Trade Sales are from ANY Tradesmen or women within a postcode area.
ANY Local Trader can advertise in the Business Directory on What's On In website. Here are some of the USP's for the Local Traders:
- Self-Loading platform
- 1-5 Images can be added
- Just £40 for the 12 months’ worth of advertising
- They can change their ads as often as they like throughout the 12 months
- They have a Google map feature
- They can promote their business on the WOI Facebook page
- Local Trader can list their events for FREE on the the website's events page
There are on average 1,000 trades people within ANY UK postcode. This is a set flat rate of £40 for the whole year, generating £40,000 per year in sales (£20,000 per year would be paid to you -e.g. 50%) per postcode.
This is a self-loading platform. Once the link is sent to a trader, they pay via PayPal and then self-load the details needed for their listing which is instantly loaded onto their chosen website.
Training & Support
You will be offered full training & support before taking up this position and at all times will have direct access to the MD for advice or help in helping you hit targets.
